Republic Service will provide curbside pick-up of unflocked trees on these days.


Other Projects That Can Be Done ANYTIME


Bear Creek Disc Golf Course Renovation
- we are looking for a team of at least 50 people to help us repair and refurbish the Bear Creek Disc Golf Course Park. The renovation will include: fixing trail erosion/t-box erosion, replace guardrail at creek crossing areas, sand top of benches (remove graffiti), install cigarette butt buckets, install practice area basket, and new kiosk. All materials and supplies will be provided. Project estimated at 1 full day or 2 half days.

Botanical Gardens- A single volunteer or small team of volunteers are needed to pain the wrought iron fence that encircles a portion of the gardens. All tools and training will be provided. Attention to detail is important. Compost Corral is also an ongoing volunteer project at the Botanical Gardens. This would require re-mulching the floor and surrounding trees.

Vineyards Campground – we are looking for a team of 2 to assist in painting shade structures in the park.  Neatness counts.  All supplies provided. Must be physically fit enough to work outside and endure the elements.  These volunteer hours are Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between 11 AM – 3 PM. Project time estimated at 5 days.

Shoreline Cleanup- Volunteers will select an area of the shoreline within the Grapevine lake park system and clean up all trash (Katie's Woods to Meadowmere Park). All materials will be provided.Sign Up – mjtellin@grapevinetexas.gov

Data Entry – a data entry project is available that entails entering data relevant to grant opportunities.  Excel spreadsheets are utilized.  All information is provided on hard copy and needs to be transferred to a database.  This work can be done from your home. Project time estimated at 3 – 5 days.
