Adopt an Area

Ever wonder why Grapevine looks so green and clean? One of the most successful litter clean-up efforts is accomplished through our Adopt An Area program, which is comprised of volunteer groups throughout the city. These families, non-profit organizations and business employees have selected an area within the city to keep litter free by cleaning the area six times per year. The team may have chosen a road, a creek, a playground, a shoreline or boat dock. The city supplies bags, vests, trash grabbers and gloves for the first two participants. A sign is erected in their name along the path of the adopted area. It's an enjoyable and easy way to assist your community and is sincerely appreciated by the citizens of Grapevine.

1) Shoreline- Dove Loop Boat Ramp west to McPherson Slough

2) Park - McPherson Slough from Catfish Lane southwest to the Lakeview area boathouses

3) Park- Acorn Woods

4) Park- Katie's Woods

5) Park- Dove Loop Boat Ramp Park

6) Roadway- Northwest Highway 26 - Main Street to Texan Trail

7) Roadway- Texan Trail to Dallas Street (18 years and older)

8) Roadway- Stone Myer at Hwy 121 to Prospect Drive (18 years and older)

9) Roadway- Highway 121 and South 360 (Service Dr) Interchange and Bear Creek Park Parking Lots (18 years and older)

10) Roadway- Mustang Drive- 121 East to Main Street (18 years and older)
