TESTIMONIAL

“Over the course of these years, Keep Grapevine Beautiful has touched every entity within our community in a positive manner. Whether it is teaching school children how to recycle or growing fresh produce for the less fortunate or beautifying our lake parks and streets, they have made a huge difference.”

October - Fall Sweep

Fall Sweep is held in partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful.  Volunteers conduct litter pickup, recycling collection and beautification projects throughout the community.  We engage school groups, businesses, churches, individuals and civic organizations to join our efforts.  Lunch is served and drawings are held at the end of the event.

TBD - Get Growing National Planting Day

On this day, we offer a call to action encouraging Americans to plant native species at their homes and in their communities. ‘Get Growing’ provides a national stage for the important role that beautification and greening plays in our communities. During the ‘Get Growing’ event, millions of natives, perennials, bulbs and ornamentals will be planted across the U.S. that will create beautiful space. In Grapevine, volunteers will assist in refurbishing a major segment of parkland with drought resistant, low water plantings, as well as to learn about how plants affect air quality.

November - America Recycles Day

A nationally recognized day in the USA dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products. This event provides Grapevine residents the opportunity to recycle household products such as electronics, household items, printer cartridges, eyeglasses, Styrofoam, mattresses and shredding of documents.  Accompanying this event will be an educational expo to include a variety of companies that provide recycling services and products. Free food and drinks will also be made available.

November - Arbor Day Celebration

Volunteers plant trees and native plants where beautification and preservation is most needed.  We also make a concentrated effort to remove invasive species plants.
